John began his career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. During his term, he was assigned to the Street Gang Prosecution Team, the Domestic Violence Unit, and finally the Major Crimes Bureau. Following his time as a prosecutor, John was an Assistant Town Attorney with the Towns of Islip and Brookhaven, where he defended the Town’s negligence claims and was involved in all aspects of municipal law. After transitioning to private practice, John was an attorney with other Long Island insurance defense firms, where he gained experience handling all aspects of litigation from intake, discovery, and depositions through dispositive motions, and trials.

Bar Admissions:

Mr. Burke was admitted to the New York State Bar as well as the Florida State Bar. He is also admitted to the Southern and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Court of New York.
